BPA Official Calendar for 2010 Has Been PublishedBangladesh physiotherapy Association (BPA) has published the official calendar for the year 2010. All the members are requested to collected their complementary copy of calendar from the new BPA office or to contact the Office Secretary Mr. Feroz Kabir. BPA Office Has Moved to New AddressFrom 1st January 2010, BPA’s New office has started working. It was a desire and need for a long time to shift the office to an address which would be accessible for all. BPA current executive committee is delighted to open the office at one of the important locations of the capital city Dhaka. All activities of BPA will be operated from the new office listed below.
BPA Observed National Victory Day-2009Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA) has observed 16th December, the National Victory Day. BPA executive committee, general members as well as students from various physiotherapy institutes were present in national monuments early in the morning. BPA also placed banners regarding the celebration of national victory day in major locations of the city. Inauguration of BPA New Elected Executive Committee HeldFarewell of the previous executive committee and inauguration ceremony of newly elected committed executive committee was held at Center for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Savar on 19th November 2009. Former President Mr. Obaidul Hoque and former Secretary General Mr. Sohrab Hossain welcomed the newly executive committee. On behalf of the new executive committee, President Mr. Rajib Hasan and Secretary General Mr. Bakhtiar received all official documents and responsibilities. All members of new executive committee were present on the occasion. 4th General Election of BPA held on 13th November 20094th General Election of Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA) was held at Center for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Mirpur, Dhaka. It was the biggest general election inn history of BPA. More than 400 members casted their vote. Result of the election was announced in evening. The elected executive committee is listed below:

Professional Excellence award received by Mr. Sohrab Hossain Mr. Sohrab Hossain has got award for his professional excellence in the field of humanitarian service by Rotary Club on 1st November, 2009. He is also Founder Secretary General of BPA. He has been working as an Asstt. Professor and Head of the department of Physiotherapy at CRP, Savar, Dhaka for 10 years. BPA Observed 2009 World Physical Therapy DayBPA gorgeously observes World Physical Therapy Day on 8th September, 2009.All Physiotherapy institutes of the country celebrate that day with organize rally under Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association. All General Member of the Association have been participated in the discussion and Iftar Party in the afternoon program of the World Physical Therapy Day. Bangladesh Television had a special program to mark that day and interviews have been taken of the President and Secretary General of BPA. Besides this, special features have been demonstrated on effectiveness of Physiotherapy. BTV, NTV, RTV and Desh TV were broadcasting the rally in different news to mark that day. It has been created a very good impact evaluation among the people of the country about World Physical Therapy Day. |
